PAST FMMT PROJECTS

FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR POOR CHILDREN (FMMT MECA)

Yearly (from 2009 to 2017) around 200 children received medical treatment through the coordination and financing of FMMT. Some patients (in urgent need of medical treatment) were helped by FMMT in hospitals in Tauggyi, Nay Pyi Taw, and in Yangon. Today FMMT sends similar cases for free treatment to the 'Myat Thar Shin Free Clinic' in Taunggyi (Shan state, Myanmar).

SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTRE TAUNGGYI(FMMT SECTA)

A project in collaboration with 'Metta Shin Free Clinic' Taunggyi.

Education is a human right and a tremendous force for bringing change. It is the key to development.

That is why FMMT was setting up a special learning residence or ‘Special Education Centre’ in Taunggyi(Shan State, Myanmar). Here, ‘ex-patients’ and others (talented but underprivileged and disabled children) can enjoy free language tuition and tailor-made study support. FMMT overhanded the building to Myat Thar Shin Taunggyi in 2024 and gave this organisation the responsibility to develop further the educational program with local stakeholders.

EMERGENCY AID

Since Myanmar is in a bad civil war, many people are victims of violence and suffer from displacement. Above all they experience natural disasters and try to survive but without sufficient means. FMMT supports these people who suffer by donating shelter materials, food, education materials, and more.
