• The FMMT Scholarship gives Myanmar students the opportunity to request and receive financial support for the total length of their study field or course at an official and licensed high school or university in Myanmar and in their preferred direction or discipline. The scholarship is based on an assessment of need and merit as well as the availability of funds. 

• The scholarship application can only be requested by sending in the fully completed Application Form FMMTS(here below).

• Selection will be decided on the basis of information provided in this form and investigations for the authentication of provided information.

• Candidates may be required to appear for interview(s) in Myanmar in case of doubt or other.  

•  The scholarship that each student receives amounts to a total of 400,000 MMK(4 သိန်း) per month during the term of the FMMT scholarship support, starting 2 months after the approval and/or if all conditions and formalities are fulfilled. This amount will not be reduced but can be increased taking into account a possible devaluation of the Myanmar currency. The support will be paid monthly by bank transfer. Therefore, students need to open or have a Myanmar bank account in their personal name if approved.

• The amount can only be used for paying all the costs (directly, indirectly) related to the inscription fees, studying and logistic costs and cannot be used for personal, not-related study expenses or others. If you might have any money left over from this study support, you can put it in your personal savings account in view of unexpected or later expenses.

• Each student receiving the FMMTS engages to inform FMMT on a regular basis. 

• Providing false information results in one or all of the following: Cancellation of admission. Disqualification for the award of any future FMMTS. Refund of all the payment received and/or a penalty equal to the total scholarship amount.

• FMMT is a reliable and recognized Belgian non-governmental organisation for public utility and engages financially for each of its supported and successful students during the term of their study field or course.  

• Our decision of approval or non-approval will be communicated by email to you within 1 month after we receive your application FMMTS form. If we need more personal information from you or if we want to organise an interview, this can take some more time. Thank you for your understanding.

• The application form below can only be filled in and sent by a student personally. 

•  Please read the application form carefully. Please furnish factual, comprehensive, authentic, and complete information in the form. Every question should be answered as accurately as possible! Whenever in doubt, please contact us before proceeding. All required fields(indicated with *) must be filled in and all boxes must be ticked. Use a translator app(e.g. Google Translate) if you think you do not understand all correctly.

• Ensure that you have all the required documents (files to be uploaded) ready before you start. Then answer all questions, attach what is needed, and send the form in. If okay, you will receive immediately our confirmation email.

• All your information will be treated strictly confidential and will remain internal with FMMT.
